CATERING

Seasonal Soups

Autumn is the time of year when soup starts to creep back into our home meals again.

With this week taking us into October, it is regrettable that there are many variations of colds and dreaded flu’s flying around at this time of year. But soup is the ultimate cure!

preparing soup

The seasonal soups of our choice, for example, are as follows:

  • Summer roast vine tomato with a basil oil.
  • Autumn field mushroom with a thyme and rosemary croute.
  • Winter roast butternut squash with sage and parmesan.

We also serve these soups with a selection of handmade artisan breads which are made on the day by our local baker.

bread

Hopefully you are feeling happy and well, but in case you aren’t these soup suggestions will warm you right through! Even if you aren’t ill, it’s always nice to have a good hearty soup with a lovely roll of bread for dipping – this part is essential.

So the above soups are just some of the ones we like to make and present at our events, depending on the season of course. However, there are so many different kinds of soup out there – don’t be thinking that you have to stick to the conventional options. There is more to soup than plain old tomato! Although, sometimes you just can’t beat it can you?

pea soup

So get creative, use potato as a base to thicken your soup, and see what vegetables you have in your fridge and create something very special! Why not tell us about it?

Christmas & New Year Events

Now, we are aware that we don’t want to be those people who remind you of Christmas when you are busy packing your suitcase to the brim of suncream for your Summer holiday. So, this is why we have waited until the end of September, Autumn time to let you know. However, the Fall is upon us and the weather is starting to get slightly wetter and colder, and the nights are getting longer. But, get ready because we are about to do it… Christmas is on its way!

We are sorry for the reminder that many people don’t like hearing. Now, this isn’t due to people being Grinch-like but because Christmas can be a very busy and stressful time for many – including us! This is why we are reminding you of this wonderful time of the year as we want to cater for your event. we really don’t like having to turn down catering for you as we love providing a high quality service and don’t want people to miss out!

So, if you would like us to cater for your needs over the Christmas and New Year period then do not think that contacting us now is too early. After all, next week we will be in October – the months roll by so quickly! We are more than happy to chat a talk with you and create a bespoke menu for your wants and needs or if you would like to select one of our menus we would be happy to oblige either way.

Simon has spent his career irking in the set kitchens the North West has to offer. This includes The Juniper in Altrincham, heading the pastry department, also The White House in Prestbury. His passion like Adam is taking local produce and creating simple effective dishes.

Adam opened up two Radisson hotels as the Meeting and Events Director, the first being the Radisson SAS Manchester Airport, with the 32 event rooms anew inning awards such as the “Best Airport Business Hotel In The World” and more recently the Radisson Edwardian. It’s that time of year again, Wimbledon is here!

It’s that wonderful occasion when we all get together for the classically British tournament that was formed in 1868, can you believe it?

Some of us will be glued to the television (the radio, or constantly checking updates online) for results, or are you the unfortunate one left sighing in the corner with your battle for the TV remote firmly lost.

Whether you’re a fan of Wimbledon, or not, we are pretty confident that most of you like to indulge in the classic Wimbledon related goodies which come along with the sport!

You don’t have to enjoy tennis to sneak in some traditional Wimbledon strawberries and cream, right?

Well, we can go one step further and show you our fabulous eton mess to awaken the chef within you:

and here’s our classic raspberry mousse dessert:

to help you get inspired for the Wimbledon week!

We love the Summer, it’s that season when all those juicy red berries are ripe, and the British strawberry is at its best! Just perfect for some tennis treats!

So why not experiment with more complex sweet desserts and really get into the wimbledon spirit? Invite the family round, friends, even the neighbours and let’s spread that Wimbledon spirit together! Let’s get creative:

C’mon Murray!

Thankyou from Will & Amelia

One thing we really love about working within the wedding industry is the opportunity to
get to know our clients during a very important time in their lives, and hear lots of
wonderful personal stories.

Recently we catered for the beautiful wedding of Amelia & Will, who had the most brilliant proposal story.

Back in 2012, Amelia decided to take advantage of the leap year, to pop the question to unsuspecting boyfriend
Will in the maze at Speke Hall.

Will was under the impression that he was testing a new maze designed for children.

He was instructed to gather seven bags along the way, each containing two letters which he had to rearrange
at the end. It then came as a huge surprise when the letters spelled out Will you marry me?

Amelia, 29, said: “I just wanted to be quite imaginative and different. “I made it something he’d have to
work out so the pretense was kept up for as long as possible.

“I was really nervous, it was obviously something we had discussed and both wanted but I was nervous about
his reaction.I was delighted when he said yes. He was completely shocked, and couldn’t believe we’d all
managed to keep it a secret!”

“I just knew it was a once-in-a-four year chance and thought why not seize the moment and ask him myself?”
Will said he had actually planned to propose to Amelia during a holiday this summer but was still delighted
she had popped the question first.
Will said: “I’m not usually lost for words but I certainly was, it was brilliant. I only wish I had come up
with something so creative and imaginative.

What a brilliant story! we loved hearing it, and we loved looking after this gorgeous couple on their wedding day.
