Cheshire wedding

Thankyou from Will & Amelia

One thing we really love about working within the wedding industry is the opportunity to
get to know our clients during a very important time in their lives, and hear lots of
wonderful personal stories.

Recently we catered for the beautiful wedding of Amelia & Will, who had the most brilliant proposal story.

Back in 2012, Amelia decided to take advantage of the leap year, to pop the question to unsuspecting boyfriend
Will in the maze at Speke Hall.

Will was under the impression that he was testing a new maze designed for children.

He was instructed to gather seven bags along the way, each containing two letters which he had to rearrange
at the end. It then came as a huge surprise when the letters spelled out Will you marry me?

Amelia, 29, said: “I just wanted to be quite imaginative and different. “I made it something he’d have to
work out so the pretense was kept up for as long as possible.

“I was really nervous, it was obviously something we had discussed and both wanted but I was nervous about
his reaction.I was delighted when he said yes. He was completely shocked, and couldn’t believe we’d all
managed to keep it a secret!”

“I just knew it was a once-in-a-four year chance and thought why not seize the moment and ask him myself?”
Will said he had actually planned to propose to Amelia during a holiday this summer but was still delighted
she had popped the question first.
Will said: “I’m not usually lost for words but I certainly was, it was brilliant. I only wish I had come up
with something so creative and imaginative.

What a brilliant story! we loved hearing it, and we loved looking after this gorgeous couple on their wedding day.

A Hint of Pink!

Spring is in the air and with it a whole host of fresh new season colours.
Soft pinks make the ideal shade for spring and summer.

We absolutely loved these subtle pink touches at a fabulous marquee wedding last summer.

Pink works particularly well with shades of green, and gold metallics.

Bridal gown queen Charlotte Balbier selected a pink and gold colour scheme for
her wedding decor – to a breathtaking effect!

Our team were very proud to be a part of this event, and we were all blown away
by the beautiful decoration and styling.

This incredible display was created by the fantastic team at Red Floral Architecture.

Would you select pink for your own colour scheme? If you have pictures or ideas for your own event,
please let us know! We’d love to see them!

Old Moat Hall – A Beautiful Venue

In our line of work, we are lucky enough to spend time in lots of beautiful, elegant and unusual venues. Old Moat Hall in Chelford, Cheshire is one of our favourites.

An Edwardian English Hall surrounded by Cheshire farmland, this venue stands out not only because of it’s breathtaking surroundings and beautiful decor, but also because whoever takes it over for the day has the place entirely to themselves. This gives a very exclusive and intimate feel to any special event.

So many people we speak to about their wedding plans just want a venue that feels like their own, a space to celebrate without too many formalities or other events happening at the same time.

Old Moat Hall has a swimming pool and fantastic facilities for your party to enjoy and a marquee that can be decorated to suit your taste and style.

Over the coming weeks, we will be highlighting some of our favourite venues. For more information about Old Moat Hall take a look at their website here
