Atmospheric Autumn Weddings Part I

The first day of Autumn has passed and we’re already in October, we can’t believe it. Not to worry Autumn is still a fantastic time to get married, and here’s why.

Due to the weather at this time of year we can’t always predict the weather however, the fallen leaves on the ground and early sunsets make for a beautiful setting to get married. The gold and brown tones of the leaves are a great basis to begin working your colour palette around. Ranging through warm tones of orange, green, brown, mustard yellow and salmon pink there are many looks to choose from. As long as you check the weather you can still have an outdoor Wedding in the Autumn time, you could even offer your guests blankets to keep them toasty if the temperature drops.

Leaves, trees and the outdoors are fantastic ways to work the Autumn theme into your Wedding. Wedding invitations adorned with leaves are a great choice, you could even get creative and make them yourself with fallen leaves from around your home or taken from the place where you are going to Wed. Pine cones, oranges and small logs can work as Wedding decorations and become part of centre pieces also. Using the natural objects available to you is a great idea to make your Wedding feel rustic and cosy.

Traditional toffee apples are a fun and cute idea for sweet treats at your Wedding. Apples can even be lovingly made into candles and worked into centre pieces. We love these cute apple candles.

Best Outside Catering Company for the 3RD Year Running!

Here at Vanilla In Allseasons we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the County Brides Award, ‘Best Outside Catering Company’ for the 3rd year running!

We love attending the County Brides events, it’s brilliant to see all of the outstanding businesses we meet at Weddings and events throughout the year get together to celebrate our collective achievements. To win this award again and again in 2013, 2014 & 2015 is such an honour, and we would like to give a huge thank you to all those who took the time to vote. It means so much to us that we create such fabulous food, experiences & memories for our customers that they take the time to vote for us year after year.

We were especially impressed by, ‘The North West Wedding Awards Menu 2015’ on the evening of the event in Liverpool, which was extremely good. The varied selection of food from the 5 spiced breast of duck, summer watercress grapefruit salad with a balsamic glaze canapé, to the white chocolate and raspberry créme brûlée with shortbread biscuit were all fantastic.

Congratulations to all of the other businesses who were involved in the event, both nominees and winners. Everyone we meet provides a fabulous service in this industry, whether it’s venue hospitality or incredible photography. We look forward to seeing you all again soon at the events we will be catering over the Summer!

Thanks everyone.

Have A Hog Roast

We all know that Weddings are often sophisticated delicate occasions to reflect matters of the heart. Flowers are a beautiful touch and hanging lights are just the cherry on the top to add that romantic atmosphere.

However theres no denying, that we all like to really enjoy ourselves tucking into the food and drink as it’s a great thing to bring people together and share a great day, especially when the Summer sun is willing to poke its head out of the clouds.

Here at Vanilla in Allseasons we can provide a delicious hog roast feast, thats great for all the family, especially those who like getting stuck in to tasty meat dishes. It’s a great hearty meal, that looks well presented on the plate, perfect to fill that empty hole after a fun day of dancing and laughing with close friends and family members.

Our Staffordshire Hog Roasts supplied by J.J.J Heathcoats in Bollington are roasted on the spit for 6 hours and you can also choose your own, from a choice of three of our home made juices made by our top chef Simon who has worked in some of the best restaurants of the North West. Our marinades create a unique taste that goes perfectly with the tender meat.

Stephen & Michael’s Wedding at Capesthorne Hall

We visited Capesthorne Hall last weekend for the beautiful Wedding of Stephen and Michael Howell on Saturday the 17th of May. Their story is one of true romance, as they travelled all the way back to Capesthorne Hall from Queensland, Australia to get married where they first met 10 years ago. It’s a beautiful venue and any chance we get to cater there always makes for a wonderful day.
