Something Sweet – Apple Tarte Tatin

Last night we served up a special dinner. Lucky guests were treated to this lovely dessert – an elegant individual apple Tarte Tatin.

Warm, rich and sticky, served with fresh sliced berries, crème anglaise and a hearty portion of delicious Buttertons ice cream.
We added an exciting element with a sweet and crunchy caramel decoration.

These were met with a lot of excitement!

Spring is in the Air!

The sunshine has arrived and we are loving all the springtime events!

The Vanilla in Allseasons team just love to get out in the sunshine whilst serving icy drinks and delicious canapés!

We also love to see how the change of season affects the styling of our events,
as a wintry palette of rich and warming colours is replaced by fresher, brighter shades for spring.

Why not utilise some of the gorgeous spring blossoms to decorate your own table for a special event dinner?
A simple willow stalk or blossom branch can give a really striking look and appeal to your table styling.

We are very much looking forward to what this new season will bring, we will of course keep you up to date with what we are up to!

Shocking Report About Guests at Corporate Events

One of the golden rules at any wedding or special event is to keep your guests happy! An enjoyable experience
is much harder to achieve if guests are left hungry or bored. If you are looking to impress new clients or longstanding
business partners, rumbling tummies are not the way!

Here at Vanilla in Allseasons we always make a point to ensure our clients and their guests have plenty to eat and never
ever feel ignored. It’s a big part of our job and we take pride in it.

As a catering company, we feel that it is our responsibility
to not only serve fantastic food, but also to be sure that all guests are happy and well looked after.

With this in mind, we were a little shocked (although unfortunately not surprised) to read this report from
Caterer & Hotelkeeper.co.uk. According to their article, ‘most guests leave corporate events hungry’.

Event catering is our passion, and we find it really frustrating to hear these sort of figures.

Heaton House Farm - Feb Wedding Event-31

Their shocking figures show that ‘Almost 80% of guests go hungry at corporate events’

If you are planning a corporate event, be sure to consider your food and service options well ahead of time. We can help with this!

Should You Consider Wedding or Event Insurance?

During the fun and excitement of planning your wedding, insurance may have fallen to the bottom of your to-do list!

With the right planning, your wedding is most likely to run to plan and be the best day of your life, however it is always
advisable to plan for the unexpected. From an unfortunate illness to a ripped bridal gown – it is a good idea to consider wedding
and event insurance to cover any unexpected situations.

Today, we guide you through the in’s and out’s of wedding insurance.

Newlyweds cutting wedding cake

What is wedding insurance?
Wedding insurance is a policy that covers you financially if something ruins your big day or it has to be cancelled or postponed.

Do I need wedding insurance?
All policies are different, but typically wedding insurance covers;
the cancellation or rearrangement of a wedding or reception due to accident
illness or bereavement within the main wedding party
a supplier going out of business

Most policies also cover loss or damage to the wedding outfits;
Presents
Rings
The cake
Flowers
The price of having to retake photographs and video
Failure of wedding cars
Personal liability and legal expenses

Important to note
Whilst wedding cover is advised, there is certainly no obligation to buy it and of course many uninsured weddings go along without a
hitch. Therefore, it comes down to whether you would feel happier if knowing that some of your wedding costs are covered. Weddings are
expensive and many people are investing a huge amount of their savings. A sense of reassurance is well worth considering.

Wedding insurance generally won’t cover your honeymoon, and this will require separate travel insurance. Having both this and an adequate
level of wedding insurance in place will ensure your nuptials are fully covered, from walking down the aisle to your wedding night!

Here at Vanilla, we work alongside SiB Insurance who
provide low cost cover for your important day to give you a peace of mind. Also, if you are planning an important event or conference,
SiB can offer competitive cover for this.
