This weekend we catered for a wedding at Upper House. The former hunting lodge stands alone on the magnificent mountain of Kinder Scout in the Peak District National Park and is the perfect venue for a countryside event. The former hideaway of the biggest industrialists, politicians, royals, authors, and intellectuals at the turn of the century embraces fabulous interior décor with beautifully restored roof beams and has an eclectic styling to each room.
The newlyweds, Bev and Rob opted for an afternoon tea, which included sandwiches, tartlets, miniature burgers and scones, and evening bowl food. We take pride in providing excellent service by providing bespoke, tailored solutions that suit your requirements. The time we have invested time researching and developing ingredients and recipes to provide perfectly executed catering for an event.
The couple also chose to include locally brewed ales to feature at the bar which was complementary to Upper House and the event.

Last weekend we catered for a wedding celebration at Grove Cottage for Alex and Kelly Gee. It was a glorious weekend with the weather adding to the occasion.
The couple decided to go for a garden party themed reception in the grounds of the beautiful Grove Cottage. Evening drinks took place in this outside bar with wicker sofas, garden-style lanterns and bunting.
We spotted this sign on a fence, which summarises the playful atmosphere of the occasion. Hanging cute wooden signs around your venue pointing towards key places, such as the bar and toilets adds a vintage touch.
These windmill name placards are adorable as they add to the fun and excitement of the theme.
A garden party wouldn’t be complete without lawn games. This wedding allowed guests to enjoy a game of croquet whilst celebrating the nuptials of the happy couple…
…Not only that, there was a bouncy castle also that allowed the adults to relive their childhood. After all ‘it is not how big you are, it is how big you play’.

With the venue only hosting four weddings a year it was a truly unique ceremony that we were grateful to cater for. We are even more overwhelmed by this message we received from the newlyweds:

The food was amazing and served superbly. Your teams attention to detail was second to none. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you. All our guests were truly impressed and as you judged for yourself all the plates going back into the kitchen area were empty a good testament to your fine skills. Thank you once again. Here at Vanilla in Allseasons, we cater for all manner of events and over the years we have seen some wild and wonderful ideas. This weekend, our team had a fantastic time this weekend at a truly unique and spectacular wedding.
We headed up into the hills in the beautiful surroundings of a private house in Rushton Spencer where we set up a bar and served drinks to the lucky guests.
This was a wedding with a difference! We could barely believe our eyes when we saw a beautiful carousel for the guests to use!
Guests could also have their photograph taken a full sized bear statue, hook a bottle or win a prize at the coconut shy! There were lots of games and a traditional ice cream stand.
It was such a fun and fabulous day. The sun shone, the bride and groom looked fantastic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Last weekend our team catered for a fantastic wedding in the spectacular surroundings of Upper House Hayfield. The bride and groom looked fantastic, the sun shone, the venue looked incredible and everyone had a fabulous day.
We had lots of hungry guests to cater for!
We kept rumbling tummies at bay with a selection of delicious canapés. We served –
Chicken marinade in soy, ginger, garlic with a peanut sauce
Lamb kofta with a cucumber and mint yoghurt
Parmesan shortbread thins with goats cheese and oven dried cherry tomatoes
Smoked salmon and prawn crostini
Tiger prawn with pak choy, garlic and chilli
Peking duck pancakes with hoi sin sauce

When everyone had mingled, sipped some fizz and nibbled a few canapes, we served a buffet to the tables in the historic medieval banqueting hall. The served buffet food included –
Pan fried red mullet with tomato & herb salsa.
Salmon marinade in soft herbs
Tiger prawns in a herb & garlic butter.
Thai Green chicken curry with a coconut rice
Beef stroganoff
Roast mushrooms stuffed with goat’s cheese & sun blushed tomato topped with a herb crumb
Olives with garlic and chilli

Manchester based company Red Floral created exquisite floral displays that really blew us away! Crisp white flowers combined with crystal droplets and blown glass hanging candle votives created a look and feel that was simply spectacular. We took a few snaps of our own…
