Happy Easter! Part 2

Today, we take a look at our recipe ideas for Easter dinner.

Dinner
Starter – Creamy Curried Carrot and Butter Bean Soup

With the weather not exactly being Spring-like, this spicy soup is sure to warm up your guests. The recipe is perfect for feeding a crowd, or you could save the leftovers for Bank Holiday lunch.

Main Course – Garlic and Herb Roast Lamb on Boulangère Potatoes with Green Beans, Pine Nuts and Shallots

Lamb is the traditional meat to eat at Easter. This garlic and herb roast gives a flavoursome twist to the traditional Easter Sunday dinner and the boulangère potatoes soak up all those delectable juices. Sprucing up those crisp green beans makes for an excellent complementary side dish.

Dessert – Simnel Cakes

Another Easter tradition is the simnel cake. Packed full of delicious flavours including mixed spices, cinnamon and dried fruit.

This great light choice provides a quick and easy lunch that can served with a salad or a selection of vegetables. You don’t have to stick to the toppings suggested in this recipe either. You can mix together any combination of ingredients depending on what tickles your tastebuds.

Moroccan Magic!

Yesterday we catered for a Moroccan themed party at Adelphi in Cheshire.

Lucky guests were treated to a selection of fruits including sweet dates, melon and fresh strawberries. We also served a selection of Baklava, a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey.

Moroccan teas and coffee were served and everyone enjoyed the delicious and unusual food. We rather enjoyed preparing it too!

Kicking Off The Wedding Season in Style!

It was another busy weekend for the Vanilla in Allseasons team with the hectic wedding season now up and running.

On Saturday we catered for a spectacular wedding at the beautiful Capesthorne Hall then on Sunday we were up in the gorgeous hills of Rushton Spencer in the fabulous surroundings of Heaton House Farm.

Of course, our team were kept very busy ensuring that the newly married couples and thier guests were kept refreshed and happy throughout the day. However, we did manage to grab a few quick snaps to share with you…

We had a fantastic weekend and really enjoyed getting back into the swing of the wedding season. It was wonderful to see two great couples hosting such stylish and romantic events.

Chirk Castle Wedding Fayre

The beautiful Chirk Castle National Trust will be hosting a fantastic wedding fayre in on May 12th 2013.

A vast array of exhibitors will be housed in a beautifully dressed marquee sited in the grounds taking in the splendid countryside views, with the historic Castle as your backdrop.

It promises to be a wonderful day out, full of inspiration. We will be there, will you?

A Surprise Breakfast Celebration!

Yesterday we catered for some very lucky staff members at Wilmslow based company, V1.

Having recently re-branded from Version One to V1, the management treated their lucky staff members to a surprise breakfast buffet!

We served up delicious bacon sandwiches, a selection of fruits and a fantastic cake from our friends and suppliers, Cherry Blossom Bakery. What a great way to start the day!
